Privacy policy
Effective 19 July 2026. The short version: no accounts, no cookies, no advertising trackers. Your build data stays in your browser and in links you choose to create.
Who operates this site
carbuildcheck.com ("carbuildcheck", "we") is operated by drivenerve, an independent tool studio established in the European Union. All operator, legal and data-protection correspondence goes to hello@drivenerve.com, which is the fastest and authoritative way to reach us. For data protection law in the EU/EEA and UK, drivenerve is the data controller for the limited processing described on this page.
The design principle: data that never reaches us
The analyzer runs entirely in your browser. Your platform choice, modifications, usage and power goal are processed on your device and are not transmitted to our servers. Two mechanisms make this work:
- Local storage. Your current build is saved in your browser's localStorage so it survives a page reload. It never leaves your device. You can erase it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, or by using "Start a new build" in the app.
- Share links. When you copy a report link, your build is encoded into the part of the URL after the
#symbol (the "fragment"). Browsers do not send fragments to web servers, so even opening a shared link does not transmit the build to us. Anyone you give the link to can see the build it encodes, so share links like you would share the build itself.
What we do process
1. Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider (Hostinger) automatically records technical access logs, which include your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested (never URL fragments). We use these only for security, abuse prevention and keeping the site running. Legal basis in the EU/EEA/UK: legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are retained for the short period set by our hosting provider and are not used to identify visitors.
2. Email you send us
If you choose to contact hello@drivenerve.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it to reply and for nothing else; correspondence is kept only as long as the conversation needs, then deleted. We do not add contacts to any mailing list. Legal basis: legitimate interests, or steps you request.
3. That is the complete list
There is no newsletter, no account system, no forms and no other collection anywhere on the site.
Cookies and similar technologies
We set no cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to: the only browser storage used is the functional localStorage entry described above, which is strictly necessary for the tool you asked to use and contains no identifiers.
Analytics: none today
We currently run no analytics of any kind. If we later enable measurement, our commitment is: it will be a cookieless, aggregate-only service that does not profile individuals or track you across sites, and this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Affiliate links: none today
The site currently contains no affiliate or sponsored links. If we introduce parts-partner links in the future, they will be clearly disclosed on the pages that carry them and marked as sponsored; clicking one takes you to the partner's site, where that partner's own privacy policy applies (partners may use cookies on their own domains to attribute the referral). Partner availability will never change an analysis result. This policy will be updated before any such links go live.
Third-party services on this site
All fonts, images and code are served from carbuildcheck.com itself; the site makes no requests to third-party servers while you use it. The footer links to drivenerve.com and, if you use the share button on a supporting device, your own system share dialog handles the link.
Your rights
EU/EEA and UK. You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection regarding personal data we hold (in practice: your email correspondence and newsletter entry). Contact us at hello@drivenerve.com; you also have the right to complain to your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the ICO).
California (CCPA/CPRA). We collect only the identifiers you send us by email. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CPRA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may request access or deletion by email; we will not discriminate for exercising your rights.
Canada (PIPEDA), Australia (Privacy Act/APPs), New Zealand (Privacy Act 2020) and other jurisdictions. The same practical rights apply: write to us to access, correct or delete the data described here.
International transfers
Email and hosting infrastructure may store data in the EU/EEA. Where any provider processes data outside your jurisdiction, we rely on that provider's standard safeguards (such as EU standard contractual clauses).
Children
The site is a general-audience informational tool, is not directed at children, and has no accounts or profiles.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS with a strict content-security policy, stores no user database, and minimizes data by design: what we never collect cannot leak.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page with a new effective date. Material changes to how we handle personal data take effect only after being published here.
