Terms of use
Effective 19 July 2026. Using carbuildcheck.com means you accept these terms. The one that matters most: this is a planning tool, not engineering advice.
1. Who we are
carbuildcheck.com is operated by drivenerve, an independent tool studio established in the European Union ("we"). All correspondence, including legal notices, goes to hello@drivenerve.com.
2. The service
carbuildcheck is a free, informational web tool that estimates how a described vehicle modification setup compares against community-documented component limits, and produces a score, risk notes and a suggested upgrade order. It requires no account. Reports exist only in your browser and in links you generate.
3. Estimates, not advice
All outputs are approximate planning estimates derived from typical, community-documented figures. They are provided for general information and entertainment. They are not, and must not be treated as, engineering, mechanical, tuning, safety, legal or purchasing advice, and they are not a statement about your individual vehicle, whose condition, tolerances, fuel, climate and tune can differ materially. Always verify with a qualified professional (a tuner, mechanic or engineer with your actual vehicle in front of them) before purchasing parts, modifying a vehicle, or relying on any number shown here.
4. Your responsibilities
- Vehicle modification can be dangerous and can cause injury, death or property damage if done improperly. Work within your competence and use professionals.
- You are responsible for compliance with all laws that apply to you, including road-legality, emissions and anti-tampering rules (which in many jurisdictions prohibit removing or altering emissions equipment on road-driven vehicles), insurance disclosure obligations, and noise regulations.
- Track, drag and competitive driving carry inherent risk and their own rules; sanctioning bodies' safety requirements supersede anything shown here.
- Share links you create encode your build; distribute them as you would the information itself.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent its outputs as certified measurements, scrape it at abusive volume, or use it in any unlawful way. We may restrict access to protect the service.
6. Intellectual property
The site's design, text, code and the carbuildcheck and drivenerve marks are our property or licensed to us. You may link to any page and share generated report links freely; do not republish substantial parts of the site without permission. Vehicle and engine names (for example Toyota, Supra, 2JZ, BMW, Subaru, STI) are trademarks of their respective manufacturers, used solely to identify the platforms discussed. carbuildcheck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any vehicle manufacturer.
7. Third-party links
Links to other sites (including drivenerve.com) are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content. The site currently contains no sponsored or affiliate links; if that changes, such links will be clearly disclosed on the pages that carry them, and their presence will never alter an analysis result.
8. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for vehicle damage, personal injury, lost profits or wasted expenditure arising from use of, or reliance on, the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service (the service is free). Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer guarantees in the EU/EEA, UK, Australia and New Zealand, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence where such exclusion is not permitted.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union member state in which the operator is established, without depriving consumers of protections granted by the mandatory laws of their country of residence. Disputes are subject to the courts of that member state, or your local courts where consumer law so provides.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; the current version with its effective date always lives at this address. Continued use after changes means acceptance. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
